Philosophical Fight Log: Day 22- Weight Cut Day
So today was my weight cut. I had to lose roughly 7-8lbs of water, dropping from 168 to 160. I had a light protein shake in the morning and a coffee and then I fasted for the rest of the day. At 6pm I threw the sweatpants and hoodie and layers on and rode the stationary bike for an hour.
Then I jumped in the portable sauna for about 40 mins and I was at 160.2. This is a great invention but it reminds me of some sort of Russian cosmonaut Sputnik moon landing device circa 1970. Oh well, it worked like a charm and my weight is now on point.
I should be able to sleep and sweat the rest off between now and weigh-ins at 11am tomorrow.
That’s all I got for today. Since I’m very much in the zone now with cutting and fight prep, the remainder of these posts for the next 3 days will almost be all behind-the-scenes type stuff and periodic stream of consciousness thoughts leading up to the fight. I’ll have some more tempered and reflective philosophical thoughts next week on the other side. Now I’m just gonna get a good night’s sleep. Later.
